I live in Sutton, Surrey, with my three children and I am also mother to a grown-up step-daughter. I have experienced two hospital induced labours and one spontaneous hospital birth.
I have experience in different parenting situations and have built a blended family with my husband and recognise the importance of being non-judgemental and inclusive of partners and other family members at this amazing time.
I am calm , well organised and have a great sense of humour. I understand how good support during labour and birth, of both the woman and her partner can make their birth more positive.
The birthing environment is such a crucial element of the process and I can work with you and your healthcare professionals to support you wherever you choose to birth your baby. I can support you in your labour providing practical ideas such as advice on aromatherapy, positions, massage and also support you emotionally during labour and in the postnatal period.
I am available for both hospital, MLU and homebirth in South London and the North Surrey area including Epsom and St Helier, Kingston, St Thomas's and St George's hospitals.
I have studied level 3 (access course) and level 4 of the NCT and University of Worcester Birth and Beyond Foundation Degree and have competed level 5 Doula pathway and the Antenatal and Postnatal new baby, new family pathways.
I am a qualified NCT Antenatal practitioner and a trained Daisy First Aid Teacher.
I am a qualified hypnobirthing teacher with the Little Birth Company.
I am currently training with Hands on Baby to qualify as a Baby Massage and Baby Yoga instructor.
I am a breastfeeding peer support helper with The Breastfeeding Network through St Helier Hospital, South London.
I am also training to become an NCT Breastfeeding Counsellor in 2021-2022 with the University of Worcester.
I have completed training in Aromatherapy in Childbirth and I hold a diploma in KG Hypnobirthing.
Sally was sensitive to our needs and supported us both every step of the way. We had a difficult time giving birth to our oldest child and were apprehensive about things second time round. Sally reassured me and gave me confidence to move past that experience. Sally was warm, approachable and helpful throughout the whole process. I feel lucky to have had her support on this journey. I can’t recommend her highly enough!

Sally was a reassuring presence throughout. She was the voice in the corner that gave us support and confidence. Thank you!

Our trainer, Sally, was really excellent - I am so grateful to her and I've come away from the course feeling much calmer about birth and looking after a baby! Sally also did a great job of adapting the course to be done over Zoom .
We were really impressed with Sally, she made sure to use inclusive language (we are a same sex couple and were very apprehensive of this). Thank you Sally, this meant a lot to us!
Thank you Sally - the content and course structure was brilliant. You were a great course leader.
I would highly recommend this course! Our trainer was incredibly knowledgeable and shared information with us in a clear and non judgemental way. It was really informative and the sessions were good fun too.
Sally was an excellent facilitator - couldn’t have been more helpful, informative, reassuring and friendly! (Also put up with husband’s sense of humour...!)
